Had a pleasant and very knowledgeable tech from Mak Vik get our boiler furnace ready for winter. Marius walked thru... everything he did rather than just giving us the bill. We needed a new zone valve, so it wasn't an inexpensive visit, but I trust them. They installed the boiler in 2014 and it has been running perfectly in our 60 year old house since then.read more

Just thought anyone thinking of using this place needs to be aware of their practices, they came out to repair a... outside water faucet “parts only”. and a toilet fill valve,they charged her 505.40. An average fill valve retails for approx 15-25 dollars! Mac Vik here in Golden did a service call for my elderly father this winter and told him he needed a new AC unit at a... cost of $17,000. My father got a 2nd opinion and found that only a new capacitor was needed (a couple hundred dollar fix) and Mac Vic had taken out wiring for the the blower so that the unit did not function. Very concerning and I would appreciate a response Mac Vic!?read more

My elderly parents used Mac Vik extensively when they lived in Golden. They seemed to think they were being well... served, but I feel that they were cheated on at least one occasion. My father needed some simple plumbing done and my husband (who is admittedly not a professional plumber but he could fix this simple problem) made the repair. My father had called Vik and someone responded, went to the basement and told my dad that he had fixed the problem and charged him for the repair. My husband went over that same evening, took a look at the work and recognized that the repair was the repair he had done. Nothing further had been done.read more
